The installation went smoothly, there was no error-message or anything like that. Doing the logical thing, I checked in the program folder and found just MB worth of data, which doesn’t really seem like it would be enough? So, I ran the repair tool of the software. So, I was thinking that maybe the antivirus running in the background would be a problem. I disabled that, and I also disabled all kinds of windows-y stuff running in the background, suspecting it might be blocking some part of the install-wizard.

I ran all windows updates I could find. I de-installed programs I wasn’t using anyway. I rebooted A LOT. After all that didn’t help, I was thinking to myself: hey, this windows installation is old as f anyway, I just might give a clean re-install a shot.

So, I formatted the system partition, reinstalled windows, installed only the most important stuff meaning a proper browser and hardware drivers , and than I gave the Corel Installation another shot. It still didn’t work.

Again, I ran all the windows updates, so this PC really is up to date and all that, but still: no luck. Now, this is me admitting defeat. I’m totally clueless as to what else I could try to do to get this software to run. I’m not amused and I’d be very willing to sent it back to the vendor, if it wasn’t for the fact that my husband could install it on his pc just fine If you do, look to see if there is a programs folder in it, and in that files corelDraw.

Did you previously run an X7 trial? But I’m also puzzled that you “tried copying that file from the DVD to the setup folder”. Where did you get that DVD? You may need to unistall first. Up 0 Down Reply Cancel. I did that multiple times already, with uninstalling or without, in custom mode and in recommended mode, it doesn’t make a difference.
