The problem was solved by removing the language bar from the task bar and relocating it to the desktop. Apparently, the language bar interfered with the quick launch bar and caused it to disappear after each restart.

To add Quicklaunch to the taskbar, make a Quicklaunch folder, click right in the taskbar, Toolbars, New toolbar and point to the Quicklaunch folder.
Then probably move it to the left of the taskbar and reduce it to one icon and the double arrow which can be fiddly. In case you’re interested, this is what the left end of my taskbar and Quicklaunch looks like. I’ve also been having that issue for quite a while in Windows 10, but it seemed to happen randomly, maybe after an update was installed.
I used the method of backing up the quick start data from the registry in a separate file and re-import that file each time I needed to restore the toolbar, but I needed to reposition it on the toolbar, and re-order the icon manually each time as well.
What’s even more annoying is that each time someone posts a valid question on this forum, someone tagged as “Microsoft” makes that useless generic “install updates, run scan, error message?
Year, i have the strictly same issue and there is no working fix for 1,5 years of my search here and any other places. I use the Sleep Mode on my PC and don’t need to reboot it so often. But in case of reboot the Quick Launch toolbar can randomly dissapear. And yes, Microsoft answers are only “install, sfc scan, dism” and nothing else. I did all of this and more else – no effect. Maybe not many users use the old Quick Launch or experienced such problem, so we can’t see any usefull workaround or fix from Microsoft Seems to me that it should be easy to create a Quick Launch toolbar that does not “disappear”.
Create a new folder in your data partition or folder called Quick Launch. Add shortcuts to it by dragging and dropping. Then create new toolbar click right in taskbar, toolbars , point to your Quick Launch folder. Then if you want, move it to the left of the task bar. If you lock the taskbar, it should stay there.
